The Beginning

Why is the ECA Important to the Esports Infrastructure? Where did the ECA methodology come from?

What can I stand to gain from the ECA? What does an ECA Training Session look like?

Where did our influence come from?

When we started the ECA, we studied the structures of grassroots organizations in fields most similar to ours, particularly in sports. We examined the operations of Icelandic football clubs and based our esports partner clubs' structure on their youth methodologies.


The two key factors we found in these programs were:


  • Holistic Training: They adopt a comprehensive approach to training, focusing not only on skills but also on physical and mental well-being.


  • Youth Development: They emphasize nurturing young talent through structured programs and academies.


By adopting, specializing and emphasizing these aspects, we also enhance the appeal of our programs and education to both parents and young athletes, ensuring broad support and engagement.


What does an ECA Training Session look like?

At the ECA, we've come up with a lesson structure for coaches that helps them keep young esports athletes engaged in a holistic environment.


Every Training Session includes:


  • Huddle or Social Exercise

  • Physical Warm-up Exercise

  • Play/Drill/Mini-game Exercise

  • Play/Drill/Mini-game Exercise

  • Play/Drill/Mini-game Exercise


So what does this mean, why is it important? Well we've made it so that while using our platform you're able to access an entire library of these exercises, made to be modular so that you're able to make the most of your time as a coach and spend less time preparing.
